You have the basics down at this point, and you should also have each required piece of equipment to play your bass guitar. Remember that strings often break on bass guitars and your first three initial sets could end up failing you. One smart idea is to pick up three additional sets of guitar strings after two of your extra guitar strings are already no longer working. There is no reason to be ashamed that you broke a piece of your bass guitar, this happens to each and every bass guitar player that there ever has been.
